Travel document requirements

Carrying the right documents is your responsibility, and on this network it is the most common reason a passenger is refused travel. Carriers can refuse carriage to anyone who cannot produce what the route requires, and no refund is due in that case.
Originals only. Copies, scans and photographs on a phone are not accepted at any point of the journey.
By route type
| Route | Required for every passenger | Also required |
|---|---|---|
| To government-controlled Ukraine | Original passport or ID document, valid | Birth certificate for anyone under 16 |
| To Poland or Czechia | Valid international passport — a domestic ID is not sufficient | Visa or travel authorisation where your nationality requires one |
Children
- Every child needs their own identity document. A child cannot travel on a parent's document.
- Children under 16 also need a birth certificate.
- A child travelling with one parent needs documented consent from the other parent.
- A child travelling with an adult who is not a parent needs consent from both parents or a guardianship document.
- Children are not carried unaccompanied on any service.
If a document is lost or was left behind
Travelling without the required documents is not possible, and no carrier on this site will attempt it. If your documents are lost, contact the relevant Ukrainian consular or administrative service before booking. Our support team can tell you what a carrier will accept, but cannot issue or replace anything.
Validity
An expired document is treated as no document. For journeys to Poland or Czechia, entry requirements including required passport validity depend on nationality and must be confirmed with the relevant authorities. The specific requirements per destination must be verified by a qualified professional before this page is relied on.
